Our friend, Harold, is graduating this Friday, 08/28/09, from Sinte Gleska University with a BA in Lakota Studies and a mini-delegation from the AMT is making the drive back out to South Dakota to celebrate and let him know how proud we are of him.
It's hard to convey all the obstacles that people on the reservation have to overcome to obtain any kind of formal education.
This is a terrific feat - and a tribute to Harold's determination and courage.
We'll also stay to watch Alan compete in fancy dancing at the Rosebud Fair.
We're leaving on Thursday morning (08/27) and returning late Sunday (08/30).
Keep us in your prayers, asking for safe journeys and join us in thanksgiving for all God is doing in the lives of the Charging Hawk family and on the reservation through HFH and our ministry in partnership with them.
ps: our presence will be a surprise - don't tell them we're coming!
