Status Hearing for David Marshall is set for 10/22/10 @ 10am.
Jesus, united with the Father and the Holy Spirit,
give us your compassion for those who are imprisoned,
either behind walls or within their own skin.
Mend with mercy the broken in mind and memory.
Soften the hard of heart, the captives of anger.
give us your compassion for those who are imprisoned,
either behind walls or within their own skin.
Mend with mercy the broken in mind and memory.
Soften the hard of heart, the captives of anger.
Free the innocent; parole the trustworthy.
Awaken the repentance that restores hope.
Jesus, heal the victims of crime.
They live with the scars.
Lift to eternal peace those who die without knowing justice for what was inflicted.
Grant victims’ families the forgiveness that heals.
Give wisdom to lawmakers and to those who judge.
Instill prudence and patience in those who guard.
Save us all from prejudgment and preconceptions,
for all of us are in need of your mercy!
Amen.

The RS Tribal Council will be voting soon on the development of a 190 watt Megawatt wind farm located north of the Mission-Antelope area along the White River.
As many as 127 turbines are planned for the 12 mile by 4 mile wide site; each turbine will be 100 feet taller than the one at Rosebud Casino.
The tribe received a $1.5 million grant for assessment and development.
Wind data collected indicated that the North Antelope area has some of the best wind in the Dakotas and is highly financeable.
It is anticipated that beyond the initial development and installation phase, the wind farm would continue to yield over $1.2 million a year in revenue stream for the tribe for the next 16 yrs of the farms operation.
SGU and Mitchell Technical Institute have already entered into an agreement to recruit and train students/workers from the reservation for construction and permanent jobs. Curriculum for potential workers include 'industry standards' like "Intro to Wind", "Basic Turbine Mechanics" and "Electronics Theory", to name a few.
