Hands and feet

 We're aware that we're called to be the hands and feet,
not only of Christ,
but of Emmanuel's congregation as well.

We know that we represent you while we're here.
So many of you have been out to Rosebud with us;
so many of you support us in tangible ways -
with financial support, donations to the Outreach drives -
and through your prayers.
Please know how grateful we are for all forms of support.

We faithfully delivered the personal items and diapers,
generously donated by many of you,
 to the women and children at White Buffalo Calf Woman Shelter.

We've taken fabric to the seamstresses at Harvest Winds.
 Our thanks to Angel, Kelly Jo and Crystal for their patience in answering our questions.
There may have been another quilt ordered
(this time for a great nephew who's getting married in the fall)

An original Niobrara cross was restored
But so much of what we do is intangible; it doesn't translate to images to share.

Conversations with a teenager about abuse and hopes for the future.
Helping a little one with ADHD feel included and seen.
Being supportive of teenagers who are facing a pregnancy together
while inwardly thinking that's the last thing either of them is prepared for.
Playing a round of Lakota hand games and being able to feel foolish and uninitiated.
Speaking to a painter, representing Artists for World Peace,
and admiring his work on the University's buffalo tanning building.
We're coming home with an eagerness to come back;
ideas for additional ways we can support this community
and hopes that more of you will join us in the future -
for either the mini Mission trip in August or the Mission trip June 2020.

There's always a place for you in the van.
You're always welcome.
God will always find a way to use your talents and gifts.
