This will be brief - we're all exhausted.
Horse wrangling will do that to you.

In the field adjacent to the campus where we stay,
there are usually horses grazing in a summer pasture.

On our arrival this weekend,
we saw a family of 3,
including a small colt.

Late yesterday afternoon,
we noticed that, somehow,
the colt had gotten on the other side of the fence
and could no longer get to his mother.
We watched as he charged the fence,
trying to break through,
without success.

This morning, when we saw he was still separated from Mama
and therefore hadn't eaten for over 12 hours,
we contacted Mother Lauren...
who called the horses owners renting the pasture.

He was out of town on a family emergency and couldn't respond immediately,
so our team, with Lauren taking the lead,
sprang in to action.

 And, within 30 minutes,
successfully reunited Mom and baby.
You never know what you'll be called to do on a Mission trip!

Then there was the usual -
scraping,
installing windows,
and cooking dinner for 20+ people
 for a HFH Board meeting

A picture will have to be worth a thousand words -
'cause I'm too tired to search for anymore!
