If Not Now (Carrie Newcomer)

There just are certain songs that seem made for Mission road trips.
This is one - and, much to the dismay and chagrin of van mates, I WILL be singing it on the way to South Dakota. With any luck, they'll join in!

I had the privilege of attending a writers workshop recently, led by Carrie Newcomer, a Quaker songwriter, poet and essayist, described in a feature segment of "On Being" with Krista Tippett as a 'praire mystic'.

I do know she's a fabulous story teller, singer and someone who finds, and delights in, the sacred in the ordinary.

I'm so glad our paths crossed.
Hope you enjoy this song of hers too.
