No one 'missions' alone
“Does God have a set
way of prayer,
a way that He expects each of us to follow?
I doubt it.
I
believe some people-- lots of people--
pray through the witness of
their lives,
through the work they do,
the friendships they have,
the
love they offer people
and receive from people.
Since when are words the
only acceptable form of prayer?”
Dorothy Day
We may drive out to Rosebud as a small group
representing our two churches;
we may even work on projects in groups of 2 or 3,
but the reality is that there are many groups active on Rosebud,
living out their faith,
doing their small part
in making a difference.
One of the gifts of the Mission trip
is to see yourself as part of an effort
larger and more powerful
than you could ever be on your own.
Here are just some of the people we were blessed to get to know
and work with this year.
(For those of us who came out to Rosebud in the late 90's and 2000,
this family should look familiar)
The Gangones
Marilyn
Lauren and her posse
and the Youth works crew
with whom we shared the dorm, meals
and game night!

David, Sue, Zach, Kathi

Youth Works will be on Rosebud until mid July -
and we wish them all the best!
