Let it begin with the land

This morning in the lesson, we heard that God wasn't to be found in the fire, the earthquake or the wind; he was to be found in the silence.

During an impromptu BBQ this afternoon at Smith Falls State Park, we also discovered that he can be found

in the clouds

in the rustle of a breeze in the trees

and in the roar of a waterfall.

It was a day set apart for renewal; for worship and community building; for strengthening friendships and for reconnecting with the earth and the One who created it.

It was a perfect afternoon.
